I took his remark to refer to the single game that LazySMP had won in the test, not to the entire match.
That's indeed a way to look at it.
True. But it is usually better to give people the benefit of the doubt, rather than assuming they mean the worst and treating them accordingly. De-escalation vs escalation...

There will be moderator elections soon, we are making the preparations.

Other than that, for a short time I was on discord, I did not like it there and just stopped going there without starting a war on discord, why not do the same? I am happy here on my own Talkchess bubble. I assume you are happy in your own discord bubble, why not stay there and leave us alone. Why can we not live in peace with each other? Why all these attacks.

Why?

Is Talkchess a threat to discord ?

Going on SF discord right after (indirectly) accusing several members of sharing nets isn't the greatest decision ever, I've got to say.

Describing that crowd as an insane bunch of maniacs doesn't quite do justice to what I experienced there. So it should be no surprise that I ignore them, and that being ousted from such a community in fact should count as a recommendation...

It looks like that one, yes. I was there to request that the Linux make file would contain a state-of-the-art install target. So that users could install it through the configure-make-make install mantra, and it would automatically register itself to all GUIs that the user had installed on the system.

Dear moderator, I have to say something. it is impossible that lazysmp-3.0 can beat fruit-2.1. I did not even once see such a win in matches.

The best result was only a draw with three fold repetition:

[pgn][Date "2024.10.16"]
[Round "13"]
[White "LazySMP Version 3.0"]
[Black "Fruit 2.1"]

In computer chess nothing is impossible. I have seen Fairy-Max win a bullet game against Glaurung.

nomen omen. they came to sow discord. yet sometimes you reap what you sow :)
talkchess is so dead and irrelevant that they keep coming back

I hope they'll find the much sought love, understanding and respect elsewhere, although such qualities have to be mutual

I don't think they do see TalkChess as a threat, or target it in particular. It is just that these are rude, savage people, who live by the rule of violence. And it annoys them when they are hindered by moderation in their persecution of the victims they single out, and do not succeed in driving those completely from the internet.
