No, they are not "picked by Noob". They are identified by a majority of people who follow computer chess regularly. Not in TC but in places where computerchess happens: Discord, Github and some other places you keep ignoring.

Good bye Talkchess. Shut it down!
The FG could decide to do that. Is that what you are proposing? We wipe the forum?

Nice try, now my ethnic is the problem. But I don't see how a lie can be translated differently.

I tell you something, not once you seem to suggest that I'm only doing X in return for Y, among all the things I helped/sponsored/contributed, I have zero interest in getting anything back, nor do I want any fame, affliation, power or revenue, I also do not need to please anyone so that they will say nice things about me, nor do I care about my public image, we live at different levels and I'm probably far more well off than you should care.

You are only mad because you are fading out of the loop over the years and feel so unconfortable in places where you cannot play your little credentials game. You are so consumed by your rage over good things happening which you have nothing to do with, trying to represent something you no longer belong to, to the extent that you are willingly taking it to the flip side just to get attention. You should feel ashamed by this absurdity, there is no sugarcoating behind some 'charter', we all know this too well at this point.

Well, I have once visited the Github Stockfish discussions, and it turned out that compared to the people that dwell there Atilla the Hun was a very nice, civilized and reasonable person. Describing that crowd as an insane bunch of maniacs doesn't quite do justice to what I experienced there. So it should be no surprise that I ignore them, and that being ousted from such a community in fact should count as a recommendation...

Your wishes and desires are not of much interest to anyone, least of all me. The point is that you don't seem to be able to understand plain English, which makes you persist in spreading completely delusional ideas about me as in the third paragraph above.

The 'rules of the game' I laid out long ago are clear, and have been clear for a long time: Elect a new moderator team, and I will instate it and refrain from further moderator duties. Until this happens I will continue to do the job I was elected for: moderate the forum in order to enforce the charter.

Note that the current upheavel is only caused by the fact that I deleted some postings containing insulting personal attacks. Apparently the people complainig would like the charter to exempt personal attacks on people that are singled out by a (mosly barbaric) external community as targets, so they can be 'grilled' and driven 'out of town' coated in tar and feathers. But TalkChess was in fact created to prevent this very behavior, and provide a place for everyone were civilized discussion can take place. If anyone is mad or outraged here, it is the lynching mob who see their efforts to destroy other computer-chess hobbyists not succeding completely because the subjects of their ire are not ousted on their command from TalkChess as well. But it is my job to judge members by how they behave here. Not to be the hatchetman for some external lynching mob. Interpreting that as a sign of anger and frustration is just weirder than weird...

Your term is long over and there is more than one de facto moderator, the charter can be upheld with or without you.

You are also the cause of those scandals which got us into the discussion of electing new moderators. And we know full well it ain't happening, so it is not my English is broken but your lie is a complete bust.

My term is over when new moderators appear. The charter specifies that TC is a moderator forum, so there have to be moderators at all times. If you think it satisfactory the FG performs the moderator tasks from now on as they see fit, without any mandate from the membership... then you have no point at all, as I am one of these members. BTW, the charter says nothing about the method for appointing moderators. That I have been pushing for new elections these past years is just a courtesy.

With 'scandals' you mean deletion of insulting personal attacks? That would tell us a lot about your moral values...

Twist it all you want, it just gets more appearent that I'm not the one who couldn't read.

What's the matter even, do you think all others can't read too?

You would wish, and then take over, won't happen.

Well one sees a lot of hate, vitriol, fighting, amateur psychoanalysis, score settling and insults (moderation politics brings out the best in people here, also a few non-participants crawl out of the woodwork to offer their usually unpleasant suggestions) but no actual concrete offers to actually moderate. Drama, drama, drama as Sjrda writes. Better than TV soap opera cos you can actually join in at no cost. Please continue, wreck the place. Psychopath heaven.

It is clear what the people raising hell here really want:

TalkChess moderators should just be puppets that implement the orders they get from the 'community' at Discord and Github about who should have a free go here at 'grilling', who should be banned, etc.
