to navigate the move list, multiple people have asked for something like this already. while I was initially against it,
it was trivial enough to implement and since it can be toggled, no problem either way
Yes, it is genuinely useful but I was never going to suggest it myself because you've already gone above and beyond with this great GUI.

I have just successfully run the ERET test. However, I cannot find a log file for further use. Is there not one?
Also, positions with multiple solutions do not appear to be scored—for example, positions no. 11, 13, and 91.
hi,

no log is saved - probably an oversight on my part, I'll save it under logs/epd.log or something like that if that's sufficient

looks like positions 11, 13 and 91 are skipped - probably a bug with my epd parser having problems with bm and comma,
I'll try to fix it in the next build, thanks for reporting

oh - one more thing, I've just noticed Frank runs a test with Cheng 4.48a that was included with Myracle,
sadly it'll be a waste of time. it contains no functional changes except for a couple of minor bugfixes,
I thought I'd rather have a bugfixed version bundled, but apparently it was a mistake...

Just spotted below the main board "fifty 73"

Is that the 50 move counter, in which case should the game not end when it gets to 50 ?

The counter shows plies , not complete moves.

build 66 is up:
- fix: opening pool non-determinism after tour load
- fix: engine load timeout was lower than it should be due to a bug (5sec instead of 10), now 20sec default,
the same goes for isready after uci newgame. can be set in general settings ranging from 10s up to 60s
- fix: epd parsing bm with comma-separated multiple moves (should fix missing positions in ERET epd)
- epd log now saved automatically in log subfolder once finished
- optional button navigation bar below board (toggled from menu: view/navigation bar)

thanks to everyone who reported the problems, I appreciate your help

Hi Martin...

Here is some brief feedback on integrating the MessChess engines:
Increasing the engine load timeout has definitely made a difference. The engines that previously caused issues are now running without any problems. I haven’t tested all of them yet – the number of engines in MessChess is quite substantial – but so far everything looks very good.
Myracle is performing excellently."
