Cute Chess GUI and FRC question

Post by Jouni »

What's the point with Variant "fisherandom"? I can play test games with setting "standard" and Chess960.pgn book. Goes something wrong?

I always choose that setting. Engines recognise FRC I guess when they receive the FEN, but no guarantee that all will.

SF and Reckless both have default:

UCI_Chess960 type check default false (I have not changed)

And still they play. Weird..

FRC is very drawish among top engines. In M. Young test current score is +3,-1,=1152 between SF and Reckless :!: .

Indeed, FRC does not solve the draw "problem" with top engines.
