This version, having a bigger, slower net, may be more sensitive to specific compiles and instruction sets. Something worth checking.Rebel wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 11:04 amA bit of relief, but not good for my theory of gambit openingsCode: Select all

Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".

Both moves Kc4 and Nc4 are losing as every other move. Your white engine is just too dumb to find the correct continuation 2. Ke5Chessqueen wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 1:38 pm Interesting Stockfish 14 played the bad move Kc4 while Stockfish 13 played the correct move Nc4! to draw the game

Re: Stockfish 14 has been released
Both Nc4 & Kc4 are losing moves. It's a lost position for Black.
Somehow, many are trying to pull down SF 14 as an unproductive release and seeing it as an unholy marriage between Stockfish & Lc0. But the truth is that it is the strongest engine on the planet.
A 100 game final of TCEC will prove it in the coming days.

Re: Stockfish 14 has been released
What about pulling this release and put it back in the oven until its fully baked...
Sometimes when I see development versions that have a negative elo and get released makes me wonder if something is working against it. Faster is not always better and more knowledge left in the program should be a priority now. Anyway I love Stockfish and Komodo and all the other programmers who make life great for Chess!

All Engines start from the beginning, and your Rubichess version 0.9 is worse than MinimalChessEngine, therefore, your Version 0.9 was too Dumb or simply primitive like this MinimalChessEngineRubiChess wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 2:08 pmBoth moves Kc4 and Nc4 are losing as every other move. Re: Stockfish 14 has been released
Even i can beat Stockfish 13 as WhiteRubiChess wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 2:08 pmBoth moves Kc4 and Nc4 are losing as every other move.

I checked the NPS of both, SF14 is even somewhat faster.dkappe wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 1:37 pmThis version, having a bigger, slower net, may be more sensitive to specific compiles and instruction sets.
