Is it possible to let engines play against ChessMind with ultra-fast time control, like 40 moves in 3 seconds? I tried with WinBoard + polyglot but ChessMind always lost on time. Polyglot seems to send time information correctly but ChessMind seems to take too much time. This did also happen with 10 or 20 seconds for 40 moves, I did not observe it with 30 or 60 seconds, though.

It is not of high importance for me, I only tried to include ChessMind into my test gauntlet which is usually played with ultra-fast time control to get a reasonably high number of games quickly.

Sorry, the spam comment did not refer to your post. ;)

I did not test ChessMind on ultra-fast time controls, but currently its time management seems to be to bad for that. I'll test it and try to release a fix as soon as possible, though.

No problem, your comment towards Milos appeared just one second after I clicked Submit, so I already knew I was not addressed :-)

40/1 seems to run well in my tests, but I can imagine 40/30'' or even less does not.

EDIT: I cannot test 40/30'' though because neither Arena nor the Shredder GUI allows it...

I recall being able to test at ultrafast time controls like that in Shredder, which version are you using?

And don't even bother with Arena for fast games, it makes any engine look like it has bad time management :P.

WinBoard does... Just enter 0:30 in the minutes field.

Or set a time-odds factor. With time-odds factor of 100 you can specify centi-seconds! 8-)
