— National Superfinals Series —

Overview

Every country has its own chess engine scene. Some have two. Some have ten.
But only one can be the national champion.

This thread collects independent national Superfinals — head-to-head matches between the strongest engines of a single country, to crown its best.

Each Superfinal is fully independent. Countries do not compete against each other.

Eligibility

A country qualifies if it has:
✔ At least 2 active engines rated 2000+ on my personal rating list
✔ Engines with a confirmed country of origin
✔ Publicly available engines only (no private engines)

Rules

[1] Superfinal played for every country with 2+ qualifying engines.
[2] Candidates selected by my personal rating list (1.5M+ game database).
[3] Candidate selection and match format:

[3a] If gap between #1 and #2 ≥ 200 Elo → No superfinal (dominance too large).
[3b] If gap between #2 and #3 > 70 Elo → #1 vs #2 direct Superfinal (no qualifier needed).
[3c] If gap between #2 and #3 ≤ 70 Elo → Round Robin Qualifier (3–6 engines max). Top 2 advance to Superfinal.

[4] Short draws <30 moves (<60 plies) are repeated with the same opening.
[5] Game errors (forfeits, illegal moves) are not counted — game is replayed.
