Clockwork bug ...

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hi there,

Note to the current Clockwork 260223:
After 300 test games, Shredder 12 GUI must be 8x restart!
Engine frozen = ~ 2.5% of games.

v2 compile on AMD 5950x, Windows 11!

After 1.000 out of 1.300 games now 21x frozen = 2,1% of games.
This test-run is a little bit work, I have to restart the matches by hand again and again.

But the results are very fine ...
Could be a "Sergeant Major" ... The rank below officer ranks!

Wow, strong, very strong!

:-)

So many programmers are working on it.
I think one of the most important computer chess projects the last view months.

Also, the won / lost statistics is strong vs. the group of "Standard-Engines".
10x won and 14x lost below 49 moves.
Move average seems to be OK also!

Again, looks good ... I have fun during the games ... good games!

Perhaps all the other / older Clockwork versions working without the mistake I had written before?
Perhaps the problem is new made?

I don't know.
Sure that one of the programmers will see that in an own test and fix it.
