Dog v4.10

Post by flok »

Hello,

Dog v4.10 is ready to be groomed!

https://vanheusden.com/chess/Dog/Dog-windows-v4.10.zip for windows, https://vanheusden.com/chess/Dog/Dog-ma ... versal.zip for macos. The sources are at https://github.com/folkertvanheusden/Dog

I did a quick 8+0.08 test:

Code: Select all

   # PLAYER : RATING POINTS PLAYED (%)
   1 Yukari-2025.4.1 : 3428.0 3082.5 3912 79
   2 Dog-v4.10-native : 3198.0 3444.0 7827 44
   3 Dog-v3.11-native : 3075.6 1300.5 3915 33
It looks by these results that it gained a few elo (let's ignore and forget versions 3.51 and 4.0).

Syzygy should now also work (thanks to testing by Dio/Jörg Burwitz).

training the dog

Post by flok »

I've uploaded a zip to my website https://vanheusden.com/chess/Dog/Dog_trainer.zip. This contains a few exe files and a .cmd file which allows also windows users to participate in the training of the Dog chess program.
You can run it any time you like as long as you like and stop it however you want. It requires a cpu with AVX2 but most modern windows pcs have that I guess?
"it works for me" but please let me know if you encounter any problem.
