How to find the best engine to analyze odd games

Post by Uri Blass »

Some engines author only care about elo so they do not care to find the best move in winning positions and as long as they win number of moves is not important for them.

I think the best engine to analyze odd games is the engine that can beat other engines in the smallest number of moves in odd games.

Reason is that if I have a fast way to win and I do not find it then I should consider it as a mistake because there is a bigger probability that I blunder in a long game.

I do not know which engine is the fastest in winning odd games but some tests suggest Patricia as a candidate(it is bad at defence so it is not the best engine if I do a tournament when the winner is the side who won with less moves because it does not only win in relatively small number of moves but also lose with relatively small number of moves).
