Finally, Hikaru vs LeelaKnightOdds match!
Hikaru Nakamura played 16 games with LeelaKnightOdds at 3'+2", winning the first game, drawing the last one and one other, and losing 13, including ten in a row! His score of 12.5% was actually much better than other top GMs against the same version; players in the World top 50 (FIDE) scored only 4% in 80 games before this, without a single win! He played only g1 odds, not b1. He only intended to play 3 games, but after losing games 2 and 3 wanted to keep playing until he got a second win, which never happened. I think he could do somewhat better with a bit of opening preparation and less talking, but he regularly wins Titled Tuesday while talking so it doesn't seem to hurt his play too much. I hope he will either try playing it in Rapid or else switch the handicap to Rook odds in blitz, which should be pretty competitive.

Re: Finally, Hikaru vs LeelaKnightOdds match!
Good morning Mr. Larry Kaufman and the Leela Bots team. Today I would like to thank all of you for allowing all of us, "chess players," as well as the "scientific community" and "searchers in general of the branches" of "being and knowledge," to "enjoy" your bot family, especially LeelaKnightOdds, LeelaQueenOdds, and of course, the beautiful "LeelaRooksOdds" and other robots from the Leela family. In case Mr. and Grandmaster "Hikaru Nakamura" reads this text, on my behalf, I, freely representing my beloved nation "Colombia" without anyone having requested it, wish to offer my special thanks. Mr. "Hikaru Nakamura," thank you for delighting us with your "courageous and great" "dinner of knowledge" that you have given to "the entire planet" and to all "humanity." For me, and that minuscule and microscopic grain of sand of uncertainty that I represent in "my knowledge and my being" before the chess computers, yours, Mr. Nakamura, is epic. Let us all remember that a delicious dish of "Queen's Crown" and "Horseback Steak" continues to be served at the table, awaiting the great warriors. If Mr. "Carlsen, Magnus" hears the whisper of these words I am writing right now, I want to tell him that for me and my imaginary horse and inspiration "Catecan," "the wooden horse of my deceased Father," who invites me to fight, or rather, "to love life and chess against everything and everyone," I would like to ask you, from my existential horseback riding path, that it is in your hands to make us all very happy if you face the Leela Robots. The month of May is an especially important month for me and that is why I have decided, if God grants me my life and my health, on the 13th, I will play 16 games against LeelaKnghtOdds with the same color, time controls, and piece placement characteristics as Mr. Hikaru Nakamura had his match. I will "ride" on my horse "at full speed" and "crash" into "LeelaKnight's castle." I will look for her little "entry slots" and under the time control of 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move per game, I will raise and brandish my wooden sword in my hands and fight the dragon "seeking to rescue my beloved princess." !! Finally, just yesterday a good friend of mine sent me a poem that has served as "fuel to my soul" in these times of "universal storm." I wish to share it in my native language, Spanish, so as not to distort the essence of the masterful poem. I hope the poem will be useful to everyone. Friends and enemies, regardless of race, sex, lineage, or status, to all my brothers and sisters who ride together on a wooden horse named "Chess." Happy day.lkaufman wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 8:01 pm Hikaru Nakamura played 16 games with LeelaKnightOdds at 3'+2", winning the first game, drawing the last one and one other, and losing 13, including ten in a row! "*LA CUESTA DE LA VIDA*"
Si un día el camino
Que venía liviano,
Se te vuelve oscuro
Y encima empinado,
Busca a tus amigos
Tómales sus manos
Apóyate en ellos
Para repecharlo.
No lo intentes sólo,
No podrás lograrlo;
Y si lo lograras,
Será a un costo alto.
Con los que te queremos
Se hará más liviano.
Cuando el cuerpo afloje
Te sientas cansado;
Cuando la tristeza
A tu alma haya entrado;
Busca a tus amigos,
Busca a tus hermanos
Cuenta con nosotros
Que para eso estamos.
Se conoce el dulce,
Probando lo amargo.
Tras subir la cuesta,
Se disfruta el llano;
Así es nuestra vida,
Te lo juro hermano.
En los tiempos duros,
Encontrarás manos
Abiertas, tendidas,
De amigos, de hermanos;
Ya para empujarte,
Ya para un abrazo;
Y al fin de la cuesta,
Disfruta del llano."

At 3 minute blitz, hardly surprising. Longer time controls would be differentlkaufman wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 8:01 pm Hikaru Nakamura played 16 games with LeelaKnightOdds at 3'+2", winning the first game, drawing the last one and one other, and losing 13, including ten in a row! Well, I would call 3'2" the rough equivalent of 5 minute blitz, not 3, but I agree with you. I suggested in my comments that 10' +5" would be about balanced for Hikaru at knight odds. For 3'2" blitz, rook odds is appropriate for Hikaru.chrisw wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 7:37 pmAt 3 minute blitz, hardly surprising. Re: Finally, Hikaru vs LeelaKnightOdds match!
Of course that would be welcome, but if I propose any matches I would stick to the tradition that piece odds giver plays White. The opponent has just "captured" (removed) your piece, so it should be your turn to move. When Leela has to play Black at piece odds, it has to play defenses like the hippo to avoid exchanges, we don't get enough variety. As white Leela can choose several different first moves and still get a playable position (if you don't count the pieces!). As for the opponent, Daniel is a fine choice and very strong in blitz, but if the time control is close to Rapid some people might look at his FIDE classical or Rapid ratings, which aren't so impressive. I think he would be a good choice for a straight up blitz (3'2") match at rook odds, with his 2722 FIDE blitz and good online blitz ratings.Vinvin wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 2:56 amMay be, propose a 5+3 match against Daniel Naroditsky :lkaufman wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 8:34 pmWell, I would call 3'2" the rough equivalent of 5 minute blitz, not 3, but I agree with you. Good evening Mr. Larry Kaufman and the Leela Bots team. I hope everyone is well and continuing to do well. Today I followed the leaderboard of the top 100 humans playing the LeelaQueenOdds Robot. I am astonished to see that 100 percent of the human members, except for the undersigned who is writing to you, are, I would believe, strong human players perhaps 2000 Fide Elo or higher, since I am a simple street fighter and nothing more than that. Let's look at the amazing human performance: 1% above 2900; 3% above 2800 Elo; 6% above 2700; 14% above 2600, with the undersigned being there; 27% above 2500; 46% above 2400!; 79% above 2300!! and finally 100%!! higher than 2252!! Obviously, this is a qualitatively special elo rating. Thus, it could be said that LeelaQueenOdds will have already achieved a place among "the stars of fame." Now; we know very well that I am not a mathematician, nevertheless, I suggest that a ranking table of the 100 best humans against LeelaKnightOdds should be opened. It doesn't matter that the best GM doesn't yet reach 13% performance; there, in the 0-13 range, the humans will be progressively, and above 13% performance, they will be able to fly high, whether they are super GMs or other human players of the same or different nature.
Here the table:

..From outer space, a super chess player has arrived on Earth. Is it an airplane? No!! Is it a "comet"? No!! Is it an intergalactic rocket? No!! Who is it? It's GM Arka50Father wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 5:24 amlkaufman wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 5:17 amOf course that would be welcome, but if I propose any matches I would stick to the tradition that piece odds giver plays White. Longer time controls would be differentlkaufman wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 8:01 pmHikaru Nakamura played 16 games with LeelaKnightOdds at 3'+2", winning the first game, drawing the last one and one other, and losing 13, including ten in a row!

I wrotte by mistake this post in otherone.![]()

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face.Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.
