ShahChess no. 1 on CCRL?

Post by chesskobra »

On CCRL https://computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/4040/ I am seeing ShashChess Snatiago 64-bit 4CPU to be number 1 at 3645. Is this correct?

No significant difference from stockfish17 in the complete list and stockfish17 has more games so it may be only luck.

ShashChess Santiago is modified stockfish.

ShashChess Santiago 64-bit 4CPU 3645 +23 −23 57.5% −44.9 84.9% 358
Stockfish 17 64-bit 4CPU 3642 +13 −13 57.6% −46.6 83.9% 1524
Stockfish 20230613 64-bit 4CPU 3642 +11 −11 60.6% −65.3 78.6% 2420

I can add that I am surprised that 17 lost 4 games against 16.1
Did not look at the games to see how it happened

I do not understand how the blunder 5...e4 is part of this book of stockfish17 in the CCRL games(did not look for other losses of stockfish17 against 16.1)

I'm investigating. If there's an issue with those games (as there seems to be), I'll remove them.

eval is 0.0 for book moves amd also the eval after 1.b3 is 0.0

OK, then isn't the opening played as a game pair?

I quickly checked all of the SF17 4CPU games and those 4 losses should not have slipped through.
I'll re-run an update now.

In most cases, yes - if the GUI allows that option.
The affected games were not run by me.
