Who can beat latest Stockfish in 200 games match?

Post by Jouni »

I was surprised :) . Neutral book, 1 core, short time control. SF 3.8.2024.

Code: Select all

1 ShashChess35.1 +5 +13/=177/-10 50.75% 101.5/200
2 SFdev -5 +10/=177/-13 49.25% 98.5/200

Play SFdev vs. SFdev again with low 200 games and you will be surprised once more. Funny how often you are surprised when others are bored...
BTW you omitted the error bars.
(someone might also ask for the games - but the experience with 'games' produced by you was suboptimal so far, to say it in an euphemistic way)

With this type of test you literally will need like 100 elo progress to consistently win a match.
And with this type of conditions ofc sf dev will beat sf dev also quite consistently, even if you weaken it by some 10-20 elo like shashchess you still obviously can luck it out.
