Re: Caissa - Ethereal, gambits, 90+30
Page modified. There may eventually be three or more tournaments. The Etheral-Caissa match in the top bar is tournament 1. Tournament 2 on the best computer is not yet up and running. And tournament 3 is on the computer I carry, there will only be occasional nightly short matches or tournaments. It's currently being tested, and there's an overnight match of Shredder 8 - The King 3.50.

I'm starting to update the best machine. Test match as tournament 2, Caissa-Berserk, C30-39, 15+10.Rubinus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 1:50 amPage modified. Re: Caissa - Ethereal, gambits, 90+30
Continued, continued. I don't know why it crashed, either a stupid power saving mode or an unapproved update. Or a bug in one of the programs that played last time, Ethereal and Rubichess. I'm also away all day tomorrow, so in case of another crash, it'll be down again until tonight...

Tournament 2 - 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 15+10.
I'm trying to see if the machine will run without crashes, so now it's more like a second wave. And I took Fire there, since Norman Schmidt recently wrote somewhere that Seer beats always, so we'll see...

Tournament 2 - Evans gambit, 15+10.
Carp, Minic, LC0, Viridithas, Arasan, Slowchess.
Again, I'm more testing to see if the engines will crash. The LCO in particular is problematic. Version 0.29 was crashing, no idea why. Maybe it's not cooling the laptop, or I don't know. So it's possible the tournament will crash and I'll have to replace LC0 with something else tomorrow night.

So LC0 as expected with problems, didn't load right away on the 1st round. But in the analysis it runs normally... So there's a new Stockfish instead and that's the end of the functionality testing, tomorrow night the big tournament could start at 90+30 tempo and of course to start 1.e4 e5 2.f4!Rubinus wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:54 pm Tournament 2 - Evans gambit, 15+10.

Re: Caissa - Ethereal, gambits, 90+30
The big tournament with the thematic variant 1.e4 e5 2.f4 has just started! But I was sorry not to take some tried and tested engines there, so now 24 engines are playing at 15+10 tempo. At the promised 90-30 tempo, the semi-finals (7-16) and the final (1-6 + 4) will be played.

Hopefully it won't drop too much, it should take about 3 weeks.
