@pohl4711 How do you get to run matches with different time controls in cutechess? I don't see a way to assign an engine with a specific time control either in tournament play or in 1v1 matches

It is possible but only in cutechess-cli, not in Cutechess GUI. I am using cutechess-cli.nmcrazyim5 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 5:19 am @pohl4711 How do you get to run matches with different time controls in cutechess? Cute Chess GUI can use different time controls for different engines in a tournament. In the New Tournament window, once you have added the engines, right mouse click on any engine you want to assign a different time control in the Players control and an "Edit Time Control" context menu will pop up. Click and set as you wish.

Thanks very much for both of your responses. I'm on Cutechess GUI v1.3.1 with Qt v5.15.2 and I don't see the option to adjust individual time control on the engines like @adnoh mentioned (see screenshot)
What version of the app are you on? Perhaps this is something they removed? I'm on Windows 10 btw

Sorry for the confusion as I have been using it for so long I forgot I am using an experimental version of Cute Chess GUI.
You can download the "Cutechess EXPER-3.5.0(cli and GUI)" here:
https://rwbc-chess.de/download.htm
This version allows you to adjust engine time controls individually and also pause / resume engine tournaments amongst many improvements.

Lc0 0.31 dev runs about 25% slower than 0.30 in GTX card. But plays 50 ELO better in short test! I use 811XXX nets because newer are too slow.

Why so complicated? Give SF only 7 threads. It's 50% of speed. BTW in Ipman tests SF 2 cores beats Lc0 in RTX 4060.
