WCCC 2007: My predictions for the last rounds

Post by Peter Skinner »

Based on the games left, this is how I feel that WCCC2007 will end:

Code: Select all

Standings

Place Name Feder Rtg Loc Score Berg. Wins

 1-2 Zappa, 9 43.25 7
      Rybka, 9 42.00 7
 3-5 Shredder, 7.5 34.75 5
      GridChess, 7.5 34.00 5
      Deep Sjeng, 7.5 33.75 5
  6 Loop, 7 27.25 6
 7-8 Jonny, 4.5 17.25 3
      Diep, 4.5 15.50 3
  9 IsiChess, 4 17.00 2
 10 The Baron, 3.5 12.25 3
 11 The King, 2.5 5.50 2
 12 micro-Max, 0 0.00 0
This is of course based on these final 3 round predictions:

Code: Select all

Round 9
1 Shredder 1:0 micro-Max
2 The King 0:1 GridChess
3 Rybka 1:0 Diep
4 Zappa .5:.5 Deep Sjeng
5 Loop 1:0 The Baron
6 Jonny . 5:.5 IsiChess

Round 10
1 micro-Max 0:1	IsiChess
2 The Baron 1:0	Jonny
3 Deep Sjeng 1:0	Loop
4 Diep 0:1 Zappa
5 GridChess .5:.5	Rybka
6 Shredder 1:0 The King

Round 11
1 The King 1:0	micro-Max
2 Rybka .5:.5 Shredder
3 Zappa 1:0 GridChess
4 Loop 1:0 Diep
5 Jonny 0:1 Deep Sjeng
6 IsiChess 0:1 The Baron
If this were to happen, Zappa and Rybka would technically tie for first as they are using SoP for tie break I believe.

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Although the result for the Rybka-Grid is already in, my question would be why do you think Rybka would only draw against Grid while Zappa would win?

Seems good but actually it's not so much, since at least 5-6 matches were too easy to predict.

Are you talking about their blitz game? Because GridChess - Rybka ended 0-1 for Rybka.
