Participants and logos used. I mostly use the original ones, where there are none, I redraw the ones from chess.com somewhere and some I modified myself based on a google search. I like the logos on the screen because then I can see across the room who is playing.Rubinus wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:59 pm The big tournament with the thematic variant 1.e4 e5 2.f4 has just started! But I was sorry not to take some tried and tested engines there, so now 24 engines are playing at 15+10 tempo. At the promised 90-30 tempo, the semi-finals (7-16) and the final (1-6 + 4) will be played.

Hopefully it won't drop too much, it should take about 3 weeks.

Tournament 2 - 1.e4 e5 2.f4, 15+10.
Ranking after 10th round, still biased by lottery.

Tournament 3 - short test new Obsidian, 4+2, 4cpu
Clover 6.1 gegen:
Obsidian 8.0 6.5 - 5.5
Obsidian 9.0 5.5 - 6.5
It's a small batch, but there could probably be some shift in performance. The games will be available for download until the start of the new tournament, about 0:00 CET.

Tournament 1 - a new tournament without libraries, self-powered from the beginning.
Tournament 2 - some technical difficulties. I've updated my computer and we'll see. I think it's a weak connection bug when it has to send an increasingly large pgn file.
Tournament 3 - the last three tests showed a noticeable increase in the elo of Obsidian 9 against version 8.

Tournament 2, 1.e4 e5 2.f4, 15+10

games
The semifinals are now being played for four spots, with engines in 7th-16th place. I just forgot to give at least one engine (Tal) a mandatory variant book at the start, so I have to stop in the morning and let the games play again without the library.
Too bad Obisidian dropped out completely at the end, as the new version 9 seems significantly stronger. Must wait for the Sicilian gambit.

PHCEL
Tournament 1 - 1.d4 d5 2.e4
Among other things, I included Velvet because it seems to be significantly stronger than the older 5.3 version they have in the CCRL rankings.
I'll probably have the previous tournament's batch and table without books up tomorrow. Too many draws, the Berlin variant is currently unbeatable, sad news for fans of the 1.e4 move!

I finally took the time to save a batch of tournaments without libraries.
