KnightX 5.0 engine is released.
Neural network evaluation using the Cerebrum library of David Carteau.
The executable uses the AVX2 instructions set (Intel processors since 2013, AMD processors since 2015). The archive also contains an executable that doesn't use theses instructions.
The NN was trained without using position evaluations from other programs.
v5 vs several engines between 2900 and 3050: +150 Elo
v5 vs v4.91: +320 Elo

Will there be a new version in the future that supports HCE and not NNUE?
Best regards

Re: Knightx 5.0 released
Hello,
I don't think so. My goal is to progress in the CCRL rating list and the NN evaluation is better than HCE.
I failed to improve my HCE evaluation, particularly the king's safety
I will also reach a plateau with NN evaluation, but at a higher level.
