-Intel i5-7400 (Kaby Lake);
-Windows 10 x64 - AVX2 build;
-both NNUEs present;
-v3.3 works;
-4.0 crashes after 2-3 seconds (in console mode);
-Arena 3.5.1 GUI shows Hash=0 (in engine window).
The _avx2 binary of the 4.0 release accidentally contains a handful of AVX-512
instructions in the NNUE evaluation path (a build-script flaw on my side). On
CPUs without AVX-512 (your Kaby Lake, and anything pre-Ice Lake / pre-Zen4)
the engine starts, answers UCI, and dies with an illegal instruction on the
first evaluation, which matches your "crashes after 2-3 seconds" and Arena
showing Hash=0 exactly.

A fixed _avx2 binary (verified clean of AVX-512 this time, with an automated
check added to the build pipeline) is being rebuilt right now and I will
replace the release asset shortly.

Rudim v3.0.1 and v3.0.2 were released in the past week
https://github.com/znxftw/rudim/releases/tag/v3.0.1
https://github.com/znxftw/rudim/releases/tag/v3.0.2

Highlights :
- 3 million+ self play games generated and used to retrain Rudim's NNUE (trained purely on self play from v0 onwards)
- Moved from the initial 32 HL NNUE > 64 (3.0.1) > 128 (3.0.2)

Approximate Gain from previous versions
v3.0.0 > v3.0.1 : ~100 ELO
v3.0.1 > v3.0.2 : ~150 ELO
Totally atleast ~250 - 300 ELO gain from 3.0.0

To Rudim versions:

Are hash tables supported? The Shredder GUI doesn't prompt for the hash table size when the engines start up—that's unusual.

For the moment:
Thanks for Rudim!

Hi Frank!

Yes Rudim has a TT, but haven't implemented the UCI option for a custom TT size at the moment (it's hardcoded to 64mb)
Had a tracking issue, will work on it in 3.0.3 / 3.0.4. (Some other UCI commands like ponder, mate are also pending, but all the core UCI commands are present)
https://github.com/znxftw/rudim/issues/113

Thanks!
