Last version of Monty is an engine I recently found and immediately fell in love with it.
What an engine, what a style!
I'm very impressed. I think I've found Saint Graal of computer chess -- engine that plays so inventive that I'm astounished. To watch its games is pure pleasure!
Only thing that I know of it is that it uses MCTS.
Can someone share more about the engine and its authors?
take it easy :)

Jackal 2.0.0 is released!

Still lower on pure playing strenght than the top pure MCTS engine Monty, Jackal 2.0.0 supposedly plays on 3485 elo level with the EAS of 400k! Knowing the difficulties MCTS engines face in aggressive gameplay where MCTS falls much shorter than most search logics in complex and tactical positions, I think that much of an improvement is highly outstanding in this field.

With that being said, the engine is now somehow 1.2 GB, the largest engine I have ever saw. Still, not only never having delays or lags in my computer, but also it has a great output design in console.

I'm really excited about these news, and can't wait to test the new Jackal!
