Hi Frank,

What's happening with the tournament you announced for mid-January?

Hi Paloma,

spring cleaning at home, I'm rearranging things.
New pans (not pawns) for an example ... I also have to think about my physical well-being.
Before I start a new engine test chaos, I have to get rid of another one.
There's almost nothing left on Amazon. All is here...

1.
Furthermore, my test-system an AMD 5950x was a longer time not active.
Working the most time on Intel systems. But to 90% ready.
At the moment I checked AVX2 and ZEN2 / ZEN3 compiles, my complete configurations are BMI2 for my Intel test-system.

2.
I have a lot of fun with two Casio's.
One I am using as database, anotherone for statistics.
Machines from the 90er ...
100% ready for my new idea ...
Don't worry, I'm only doing this for myself. The little Casios definitely need to be reactivated again.

I will start a bit later with my new test-idea, around February 10th, 20260.

So, all is wonderful here!
I hope my test-idea will be fine for visitors, later!

Best
Frank

Pan? ... the pan's from Hoffmann are just great.
A secret tip.

Hi Paloma,

I added the preparation tourney results on the etoc-g site.
https://www.amateurschach.de/main/_etoc-g.htm

I forgot it ...
Only interesting to have a start list for the 26 "Standard-Engines" for the comming soon test-runs.
Vs. the 26 standard engines all the engines I will test, have to play on a my AMD 5950x system.

But that is the wrong thread for it.
For you only!

I'll enjoy it, the draw rate is low. Many short games with a completely normal equal opening book. A good mix among the “standard engines,” so that ‘weaker’ and “stronger” engines can be tested well... always against the same 26 "Standard-Engines". For example, Uralochka 3.42a has the rank of a brigadier general, Wasp 7.00 has the rank of a captain. Later on, it will be possible to make good comparisons or easily see progress in engine development, all without the “terrible” Elo rating.

That Obsidian UI, what similar-ish chess UI does it remind me of? Is it a fork or has it been renamed?

I don't see opening books anywhere, am I blind? And I created an engine match, independent from the time settings, it played all moves instantly like 1 node search depth.
