I noticed that there are many personalities you can choose from. Is there any documentation on these personalities? It would be great to know the strengths of these players.
Thanks

The first thing I can tell you is that the "strength" is never an absolute, but depends heavily on the speed of the hardware. I am not sure which version that is, but if it is one with the "skill" command then you can almost choose the strength but it will take some experimentation to figure out the rough rating for any setting.toshi wrote:I noticed that there are many personalities you can choose from. I am not sure the exact version, but it was made in 2004 (called Crafty Classic2004) and has personalities like "Windy", "Novice", "Beginner" and a whole slew of other names. The problem is I can't see any of the setting for these personalities, so I don't know their ply depth, seconds to move, etc.

OK, that is way before the "skill" command came into being... There are files in the directory named "Windy.cpf" and such, you can edit those and see what is inside...toshi wrote:I am not sure the exact version, but it was made in 2004 (called Crafty Classic2004) and has personalities like "Windy", "Novice", "Beginner" and a whole slew of other names.
