:D
Hi y'all,

just wanna pass on info how i installed scid pascal georges version
in Ubuntu 7.04 linux
( thanks to pascal georges)

this is what i did:

1. get scid-3.6.18.tar.bz2 from prolinux.free.fr/scid.
extracted it into my Desktop.
(dont install scid right away. install tcl first. then install g++
only after you install them can you install scid-3.6.18 )
note: when i typed in the terminal box ./configure, it didnt work
so i typed it with "sudo ./configure". this worked.
i also prefaced the "make" and "make install" with sudo.

2. get and install tcl
i didnt use the terminal box.
what i did was go to System-Synaptic Package Manager.
i then typed in its search box "tcl". after it found it
i click on the "bit" and "bit-dev" and let it install automatically.

3. get and install g++
to install g++, I typed in my terminal box the following

mariaclara@nimitz:~$ sudo apt-get install g++
Password:
type in my password then the following appeared.
