Program for the DGT board
I am looking for a program for running a tournament using Dutch boards from DGT. Just please don't write to me about LiveChess Software, which is a very weak program. Thank you in advance for any information.

The arena is not really suitable for live games over the Internet.

I guess you want to broadcast more than one board, else it would be a match and not a tournament.Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 1:18 pm I am looking for a program for running a tournament using Dutch boards from DGT. If you do search on the internet with f.ex. "dgt for live broadcast" you will find something.
I don't think any of the standard chess programs for playing have implemented DGT's bus protocol.
To broadcast only one game, I have used Chesspartner in the past. You can create some scripts to do the transfer job in this program.
Why not use Livechess. It is well proven and works. You can set up a tournament on Lichess and let the viewers watch it there, and they will have an interface their used too. The "Livechess" is just for administration and to create the pgn file for Lichess to catch.

Thank you very much for the information. What I mean is to broadcast the entire tournament live using one DGT board. And for example, one round could consist of five games.Odd Gunnar Malin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 11:13 pm I guess you want to broadcast more than one board, else it would be a match and not a tournament.

I did not find info on using one DGT board to show more than one game on the internet.
I suggest using this instead https://clono.no/pricing.html maybe cheaper than many DGT boards.

Yes, I have played a few tournaments with Clono. Some are searchable on the site. These tournaments are usually broadcast on Lichess.Cumnor wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:22 pm I suggest using this instead https://clono.no/pricing.html maybe cheaper than many DGT boards.
We also use it in classical games in the chessclub, these games seem to be hidden on the site.
It is a cheap alternative to DGT, you only need some of the cheapest android tablet for it to work.
At the club, we use our own tablets, some only use their phone too.
In Fide tournaments, the organizer needs to supply the tablets. Our national federation has such tablets to be lent out, and also some clubs have these which other clubs can borrow.
