Fritz 17 GUI claims draw by 290 move rule
Today I had a lot of spare time and was running a manual computerchess game on my computers. The game itself was rather boring but it was obvious that both engines were doing their utmost to avoid a draw. A quick calculation led to the conclusion that the game may well last several hundred moves. This sparked my interest as I wondered whether both opponents would be able to finish the game without technical problems.

Re: Fritz 17 GUI claims draw by 290 move rule
It would be fun if Chessbase would allow for some boyhood rule adoptions for chess? Anyone plat the rule as a kid where if you could bring your king to the 8 square and back to 1 you could bring back a piece? Would make for a long game but wonder if it would reduce the number if draws.
Trying to remember and other adopted rules used to play as a kid. Would be fun to tweet the rules on Fritz
