Blunders or why quit playing chess

Post by Henk »

Encountered this position recently in a slow game. Cost maybe 50 euro. Only saving me one hour.
Guess the blunder.

Ok I played Rb4. Don't know if position is won for white if I had played a normal move.

Earlier in the game I played h6?? instead of Rf7.
After Rf7, Rf7 blacks king can go to h4 and draw. Same holds for Rd2.

The move 45 ... h6 seems to me a wasted tempo.
Farewell.

I remember I was even thinking I was in zugzwang.

You should not have been afraid of pawn EG in case of rooks exchange:

Farewell.

Why didn't I play d5 on first move?
Because someone told me some years ago Nf6 was best move.
So never listen to cheap advice for they usually tell you half of the story or you forget half of the story.

21. Bg5?? I remember I overlooked f6. That's why I should quit playing chess.

So I made at least three blunders in this game.

My opponent did not play 'flawless' too. 26. Ng8??
