Stockfish Feature Request

Post by AdminX »

Is it possible to add support for Monte Carlo Analysis in some future version of Stockfish? I would love to use some other strong engine other than Rybka to do this.

Thanks for your reply in advance.

Stockfish (and I suppose Shredder and Naum, but not HIARCS or Junior) can already be used in Randomizer matches in Aquarium. I'm running one now - not because such matches are often very useful, but simply in order to test that it works.

Maybe so but they do not work under the Fritz 12 GUI

What is the trick of these randomize matches, from the engine point of view? Is it anything that transcends the good old 'random' command of GNU Chess / WB protocol?
