I live in UTC-7, so 7 am tournament time is 11pm locally.

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Re: CCT12 time
GMT = UTC.
Therefore UTC+1 times:
Therefore UTC+1 times:
Become one hour less in GMT:Round Times: Saturday: 7:00am 9:00am 11:00am 1:00pm 3:00pm
Sunday: 7:00am 9:00am 11:00am 1:00pm
So an early start in tz GMT.Round Times: Saturday: 6:00am 8:00am 10:00am 12:00 2:00pm
Sunday: 6:00am 8:00am 10:00am 12:00

Re: CCT12 time
It would be quite helpful to also post the time here and on the CCT12 web page for the first round as FICS "server time",
then anyone can just log in and confirm their local time relative to the server "date" command (PST).
Thank you,
A Time Zone Challenged

Re: CCT12 time
Currently for me the server time shown on FICS is
Server time - Sun Feb 14, 08:17 PST 2010
So that is 8 hrs behind UTC (and GMT) which makes the CCT12 round start times in FICS server time:

Re: CCT12 time
I assume it is simply your intention to confuse anyone interested. If you really wanted to be clear about the time you would have just given the time in UTC/GMT without the confusing +1 factor. Next time you could give the start times in Nepal time if you really want to confuse everyone.

Re: CCT12 time
hi, majority is living at CET, central european time.
Which is GMT+1.
So we're playing from 11 PM to 6 AM CET i just read?
Which is an amazing development as both FICS as well as ICC used
to be hosted in Pittsburg and both had for quite a while New York time
which is CET-6
That's really not in the interest of the majority and the last Australian/New Zealandian programmers also have left the 'ship' of computerchess a long while ago regrettably.

I will make the changes to the website to only reflect the GMT+1 times.
