Post by beachknight »

DF11 GUI:

20091121 working
20091208 crashes
20091223 crashes

CB10 GUI, when analyzing a position:

20091121 working
20091208 working, crashes occa.
20091223 working, crashes occa.

Any solution or same observation?

No crashes yet, but I didn't use it much. (Vista/F10)

In general, I found the CB-Crafties to run very stable. With the exception of one of the earlier 23.01 versions, I cannot recall any problem or bug.

Could you setup a double round robin tournament with latest Crafty cb
and another engine?

Best,

PS: Perhaps I should use F12 GUI for that...

60 moves/1 min. + rest/1 min.
D945 (~dual P4)/3.4 GHz
Windows Vista 32 bit, Fritz 10-GUI
128 MB hash (--> Crafty 96 MB)
ponder off, generic book

Code: Select all

stability test 2010
.
                     1 2 3 4
1 Doch32 1.3.3 JA ** 11 11 11 6.0/6
2 Spike 1.2 Turin 00 ** 1½ ½1 3.0/6
3 Fritz 8.1.3.0 00 0½ ** 1½ 2.0/6
4 Crafty 23.01 00 ½0 0½ ** 1.0/6
(This was just a technical stability test.)

No problems whatsoever. - I forgot to adjust Crafty's thread setting so it ran on two cores (but while I was surfing the web at the same time) and all other engines on one core.

Even on my rather slow cpu and with that extremely short time control, the depths were quite good:

Thanks, Mike.

I'll try both F10 and F12 GUIs with Vista and report back.
