CEGT - rating lists May 04th 2008

Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),

our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 120:
This week we made an update of our 40/120-list for dual and single engines after 1000 new games. We added Naum 3.0 x64 2CPU and some more games for DeepShredder 11 x64 2CPU:

Code: Select all

5 Naum 3 x64 2CPU 2933 +21 -21 540 games
6 Deep Shredder 11 x64 2CPU 2932 +20 -20 650 games
We can show you no differences for Naum in short or longer time controls. Only the 4CPU-Version in our Quad-list shows a very fine performance.

40 / 20:
This week we added more than 1400 games to our list. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 242.215 games! New in our list is Naum 3.1 x64 with 2 and 4CPUs.

New engines:
We started the matches with Naum 3.1 x64 2CPU and 4CPU. The 4CPU-version has an advantage of 20 points to version 3.0 and the 2CPU-version with only 5 points:

Code: Select all

3 Naum 3.1 x64 4CPU 3020 +32 -32 212 games
9 Naum 3.0 x64 4CPU 3001 +13 -13 1434 games
16 Naum 3.1 x64 2CPU 2961 +24 -24 505 games
20 Naum 3.0 x64 2CPU 2956 +13 -13 1610 games
Next week we will see, if Naum can hold this place 3 in front of Zappa Mexico II with more games.

Hiarcs Paderborn 2007 SP 1CPU reached 2863 elos after 277 games. This is 8 elo less than Hiarcs 12 1CPU.

Updated engines:
We have updated results for some engines we tested first last week:

Code: Select all

23 Hiarcs 12 MP 4CPU 2950 21 21 598 games (-3)
60 Hiarcs 12 SP 1CPU 2871 16 16 1108 games (+-0)
50 Toga II 1.4.2JD 1CPU 2888 31 31 300 games (-2)
160 Bright 0.3a 1CPU 2723 26 26 460 games (+2) - close to 0.2c
40 / 4:
Our blitz-list was updated on May 2nd too. We made around 3620 new games and the list is based now on 307.907 games.

Some interesting entries are:

Code: Select all

16 Naum 3.1 x64 4CPU 2984 78 78 50 games
22 Naum 3.1 x64 2CPU 2958 32 32 280 games

378 Twisted Logig20080404x 2577 44 44 200 games (all need more games)
A big „Thank you“ to all testers as usual! :)

I believe there were some problems, with especially the ChessMaster rating pages, somebody had slipped links to other sites into the HTML, using iframes. Michael Scheidl's and Roland Rösler's Avira antivirus issued a warning which they posted about on the CSS forum. As far as I know the site was offline for a while, I believe somebody from the CEGT thought the pages were clean but Fonzy Blümers thinks the site is still not without the suspect iframes today.

Michael writes about the viruswarning that he got, German:
Geschrieben von Michael Scheidl am 03. Mai 2008 12:46:

Yes the iframe infection is still active.(at least while posting this)
As i understood the iframe stuff was removed, but it is back again.
I guess the server software is hacked and is in need of patching

Hi all,
yes - our forum is temporarly down as we will update the forum software.
We had cleaned all sites manually Monday and Tuesday, but this doesn´t help so we decided to close the forum.
The rating lists are still online and there is no new infection with an iframe since then. I just controlled all sites.

regards

Thanks for the update,Werner
Good this nasty iframe infection is gone.
I suspect php (needed for running the forum) is used for getting the infection inside the webpages .
