I've also fallen in love with ponder "on" Ray. :)

It feels more natural.

I predict that rybka is going to get first place and
Crafty is going to get the last place.

If you want the players to score closer to 50% then it is better to have something like the following:

1)Rybka 2.3.2a 32-bit 1CPU
2)Zappa Mexico II 64-bit 2CPU
3)Toga II 1.4.2SE 4CPU
4)Loop M1-T 64-bit 4CPU
5)Glaurung 2.0.1 64-bit 8CPU
6)Crafty 22.0 64-bit 16CPU

Yes, totally natural - it's why I like SSDF so much. 40/120 Quad matches with ponder on, no-one else does this, simply superb. They use 2 machines with auto232.
Others are ponder off - Sedatchess is next best with 40/120 real time control on 2.66GHz QX6700, then CEGT with their 40/120 adapted to AMD X2 4200

I have also fallen in love with Fischer time controls

Very good idea to make 12H games. A lot more interesting than blitz rating.
What is is the option ponder ON? Thanks to explain me that

When an engine makes a move, it wait for a specific move.
Then, while the another engine "think", the engine that
made a move, "thinks" in the line that begins with specific
move. This is called "ponder on".

Do I write with coerence? People understand wath I wrote?

Martin
I think you idea is a great one. I hope you post the results daily for all of us to see.
I have one question for you and that is will each game play once as white and then the same opponent as black?
Hope all goes well.

Cheers Bill!

Yes, one game as white and one as black. A double round robin, ie. each opponent meets the other opponents twice.

By the way, had to restart first game as ponder was left off for some reason. It's on it's way now, first game should finish in maximum 12 hours.
