I would like to try making some logos.
What is the best program for making them.

Thanks George.

I use Xara Xtreme.

But most logos are made by just googling an image, pasting it on MSPaint, resizing it, and adding the engine's name using the Comic Sans font 8-)

Doesn't necessarily have to be the Comic Sans font though! :P
When getting images from the net, it's safest to get the necessary permission to use them if they're subject to copyright.

I use PaintShopPro 7 and Microsoft Picture it! And sometimes i use FontTwister for manipulating text.

EDIT: A tip on image quality, don't work on actual logo size, increase size as much as possible. I use 2000x1000, and when it's finished, reduce to logo size of 130x65 before saving.

Another tip - A great place to find images ...

http://www.google.com/images?as_st=y&hl ... rch+Images

With a little imagination, you can find just about any image you want.
