CEGT - 40/120 lists update (incl. 4CPU matches)

Post by Werner »

Hi all :D,
as the internet problems are solved we can present you now the update of our 40/120 lists.
Yes lists - as you can find under the attached link too our new 4CPU list with 8 different engines and each with 350 played games - as we promised before. And here is the link:
http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/rating120.htm
We also have a new elo-comparison list:
http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/40_120_ ... arison.htm
More results as usual in our forum with the finished Hiarcs 11.2 4CPU matches and more DeepShredder 11 x64 2CPU matches:
http://husvankempen.de/nunn/phpBB2/view ... 1088507a1c
Next engine we include in these test is Glaurung 2.01.

Hi Werner,

Great work from the CEGT team !

Coincidentally, the rankings themselves 1 thru 8 are identical to our 40/40 pure list. I'm not sure if I expected anything different or not :?
(Quad Glaurung 2.0.1 x64 excepted, as you haven't tested that yet)

Hello Werner!

I agree 100% with Ray. This is simply great work. Ratinglists based on the classic tournament-timecontrol (40/120) has always had a special status and prestige (at least in my mind). A special thank to Heinz van Kempen for his tireless testwork with this ratinglist.

Best regards

Yes - it is a great pity that none of the big engine tournaments are ever played with this classic time control. They are all generally a comparatively short time control. But, understandable I guess as tournaments always have a time schedule to adhere too, and authors and participants usually have their day jobs
