Pavel 50.5
Edsel 49.83
Uri 48.5
Ulysses 47.45

so, the winner in average score contest is Pedro Castro, and the winner in number of division wins is Jim Ablett. This is bit confusing, anyway from next edition the winner will be decided by the number of divisions he won, if its a tie, average scores or number of 2nd placing will break the tie.

Thanks guys for participating, new edition is underway.

If you keep the number of engines in each division the same, then you wont have much of a problem even with averages.

I think number of divisions win approach is the best way to determine the winner, isn't it?

Average is better I say because if I were to get the 2nd place in every single division, I want to be able to get the price. I know that I will never win as many divisions as Jim or Graham.

well you do have a point, but its difficult to win in 4 or more divisions,Jim should be able to get the price, don't you think?kind of a catch 22 situation.we need a poll for that perhaps? :P

Pedro definitely doesnt need his own engine. I say both Graham and Jim deserves the engine. Caligula is not a currently developed engine, is it? It is more of a collectible right?

Pedro deserves some other engine atleast, so my prize to him is still pending, dont know if its a current engine, havent asked him about it, when he comes across this post, maybe he could reply to your query.

As a price, you could run him about 1000 test games for a beta version of Danasah.

I agree. There's a problem with the average approach, that if I only participate in one division and get a very high score, then I'm better off only playing in that division, since playing further will just decrease my average. Still, the highest average should get a prize :o
Your beliefs create your reality, so be careful what you wish for.

Swami is free to offer Caligula as him better available, from version 0.1 I have not worked on it and in the next 30 days I will work in DanaSah because on the 13th of January will play against a GM 2 games chess960. I am not sure if I will work later in Caligula.

DanaSah and Caligula are playing the 2 in OpenWar, Dana is the 20 with 41/61 and Caligula 38 with 31/61. I was hoping maybe less difference. It is possible that there are more diference in long time and less in short time.
