The legend of Ramicuss

Post by Michael Sherwin »

Once upon a time there was

Ramicuss Three Horns

Son of Goatka No Horns

He walks on two legs and

(sort of reminds me of Tony :? )

has learned his lessons well!

Ramicuss - Goatka v1.0 Beta.w32 : 58.0/100 40-24-36 (111=011111=10=10=0111=01011==1===101=10=1===10110=1=0===110=00=0=1=1===1==01==0111010==0000=11110==1) 58% +56

Ramicuss, now heads off into the night

to battle the gruesome five. Five

hideous monsters that have been terrorizing

Goat Valley for days now with their cries of,

"Kowabunga!"! Now they will meet their fate and

be banned from Goat Valley, forever!

Later, back at the goat cave.

Goatka: Rami Three Horns, why do you have a hamster sitting on top of your head and two on each

shoulder?

Ramicuss: There were no hideous monsters out in the valley, momma Goatka. It was just the hamsters
practising the Ninja arts with, Romi Ninja Girl.

Goatka: But Rami, that does not explain, why you have a hamster sitting on top of your head and two
on each shoulder.

Ramicuss: They wanted a ride so they could come and meet the great Goatka that taught Romi Ninja Girl
the use of goat powers. They hope to also be considered worthy to learn goat powers so that
Romi will still love them and want to do battle with them.

Goatka: I am so sorry little Hamsters, but goat powers are only for goats and Romi. Go back to your
homes little hamsters and pray to your great hamster god, Alessandro, that he will bestow
greater hamster powers upon you so that you will be worthy of Romi's skill and able to
withstand, her goat powers.

Hamsters: Yes, we will leave, for now. But we have seen in a vision from our god that we will learn
the use of shunkins and that they will be more than a match for goat powers. Then Romi will
love us again and want to do battle with us. We'll be back!

Ramicuss: Then go now little hamsters and remember us, for when thee return, we, Goatka and Ramicuss
will only be legend told in stories by bards for a few coins to passerbyes. Then tell them
about how you met us and stayed with us and the epic battles that were fought here. Bye,
little hamsters, goodbye!

Later, Romi stops by the goat cave.

Romi: I heard that the hamsters were here. Where are they?

Goatka: They have gone home.

Romi: Ah, that is too bad. I wanted to have them sit on my lap, so I could feed them almonds, cashews
and pecans.

Ramicuss: They have gone to learn the use of shunkins and will be back.

Romi: Sounds like a challenge! ... So Ramicuss, would you like a peanut?

The End.

You should include that in your readme just like Alessandro. Also, I guess you have Ramicuss in my mailbox??

Tony, did you take my recycle bin? If so, I want it back. Ramicuss was in there.

This is true. The icon is missing from my desktop and I can not find any other way to access the recycle bin. :?

I remember what I did to make Rami so let me back up some source code on a different computer and see if I can get Rami to you.

I deleted Rami because he was just an alpha and I already have something better. Maybe you would just prefer that I send that when it is ready?

Goat Powers at work Michael! Or maybe you put the recycle bin into the...no wait errr..

Here is an article from Microsoft about their missing throw-away software:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810869/en-us

or

http://ask-leo.com/my_desktop_recycle_b ... _back.html

Most likely cause however then seems that the registry is corrupted somehow if you did not actually delete the icon? Or is the icon still there somewhere but off the screen?
Summary: While there are many reasons as to why your Recycle Bin can disappear, there is a fairly easy way to get it back.

Windows Vista Users: please see this article:
I accidentally deleted my Recycle Bin in Vista - how do I get it back?

My desktop Recycle Bin has disappeared - why, and how do I get it back?

Why is a good question. The recycle bin can certainly be hidden, but exactly how or why it disappeared is hard to say.

Getting it back is fairly easy. The quickest is probably to download and install Tweak UI, one of the "Power Toys" available from Microsoft. Run that, and the Desktop section allows you to select which icons to show on the desktop by default. You should be able to turn the recycle bin back on there.

Thanks Eelco, I got it back by restoring the computer to an earlier restore point. All I have installed on this machine are some MS compilers and some chess engines and Arena. Since MS is not admitting a bug in the OS as the cause, it must be goat powers!
