I've finished testing Hamsters 0.5 at FRC (800 games), and the web site has been updated

Hamsters 0.5 gained +50 ELO over Hamsters 0.4, and jumped one place in the rankings

First symptom is a sudden urge to post.

I should tell Michael Sherwin about Hamster's jumping one place. He will release a FRC version that can jump too many places at the same time.

thanks for testing Hamsters, it's got a good result in FRC! It will be difficult to climb another place now, the last beta is stronger than 0.5 but not enough to fill a 58 elo gap... still trying though!

Maybe you need longer time control
It may be interesting to know if hamsters perform better at FRC 40/40.

From the CCRL 40/40 in normal chess.

Ufim 8.02 2643 +28 −28 49.7% −2.3 29.6% 436

The hamsters are less lucky in the CCRL 40/4 and significantly worse than ufim8.02

It may be interesting to know if hamsters perform better at FRC 40/40.

I am currently considering future options for FRC in addition to the blitz list which will continue.

that's a possibility, but it puzzles me that the engine seems to perform better at 1+1!
