this is Deep Shredder Kn /s in the endgame . In the middle game it is around 5200 - 5500 kn/s



after 13 rounds ...

DS 11 had very bad time vs Zappa Mexico and Naum SMP

It feels better vs Glaurung

It s surprising to see Free Rybka leading the match after 13 rounds vs DS11

Fruit 2.3.3j is doing well 35 % , However DS 11 on 8 cpu is a lot stronger .


I have very strange test stats on 8 cpu with DS11 ...
after this test will test again DS 11 ... because it is very surprising to see Zappa Mexico & Naum a lot stronger than DS 11 on 8 cpu !!!
It should be around the same strengh !!!

On 1 and 2 cpu it did very well ... cf Tony and Erik tests ...

Scaling problems of previous shredder was rather well known. It did double the nodes per second going from 2 to 4 cpu, but it did not reach any higher depths, or so I heard from my buddy Ray. I am sure that Shredder can do better than that vs the current version of Rybka on a single CPU, I saw the results of the match by Guenther, and Shredder is #1 on my list ahead of Free rybka, Hiarcs X50, and Fruit.

yes Deep Shredder is leading now versus Free Rybka 64 Bits.

this week I will set up more games vs Naum and Zappa and longer time control ... to see if it is doing better.

Did you build your computer, if so what was the total cost. I am not skilled in that area, so if I were to let someone build me one, how much would it cost?

It cost around $ 4k to have a 8 way 5365

2300 $ for CPU
100-200 for HD (I have 1 T +250 G ) 2 X 500 + 1 X 250G
300 - $500 for MB (Intel or super Micro)
600 $ for 7-8 Gb memory Ecc 5300
100 - 300 for GC (Nvidia) depend which one you want
200-$300 (case + DVDRW)

If you build by yourself you could expect to save $300-$500 with no warranty that it will works

don t worry if you don t like to build yourself , just buy a Mac Pro 8 cpu and add some memory + win 64 bits

or buy a Dell (actually they have very agressive price on the 8 way )

I looked at the dell website, they do not have any 8 core computers. The fastest they have is a core 2 quad overclocked for over 5 grand.

after 80 games

DS 11 is still in big trouble vs Zappa And Naum (all play with 8 cpu)

DS is leading with around 65 % vs Glaurung and Fruit 2.3.3J Beta
after a bad begining DS 11 fought back and has a positive record vs Free Rybka 1.0 64 bits
