Alaric finished ahead of 3 professional engines:
CM10, Nimzo 8, Pro Deo 1.2
This shows that Alaric is remarkably strong now.
The small size of the executable is an indication to me that Alaric also has a lot of room to grow.

Three cheers for a great result!

Agreed - Alaric goes from strength to strength! 8-)

Dann - did you see I'm going to try out your Superbook 2.0.abk in my next CCRL Arena tourney?
What book settings should I use for fairest results?

Regards, Graham.

Just use your normal default settings.
I will be very curious to see how it performs compared to other books.

I am sure Alaric has a lot of room to grow but...
Rybka 1.0 was huge! :P

I don't know anything about Alaric but I would think the size is an indication of small and compact data structures. From the results here it does look like a very good engine. I hope it continues to advance.

In our blitz list new Alaric 707 is 89 points higher than 0702b. So not only it is already strong, it is also one of the fastest improving engines this year.

Alaric versions in CCRL 40/4
