They dont stand a chance unless Rybka got a hideous bug they are able to take advantage of. Ofcourse, the opponents arent that bad either, you should expect some spectacular wins from the opponents.

You being the excellent programmer you are would certainly know more about this than i ever would. But it doesnt seem possible to me for Rybka to think to the depths it does when the nodes per second count is so low. But what do i know- very little.

There is a slight difference between real nodes and displayed nodes. You can make the engine display 5 nodes per second in the search while it does 50000000 kn/s internally. It is that simple ...
