Hi there

Took up the old hobby, any people I know here? Chris W, Gert Isenberg, Richard Pijl from the Baron, Tony W, probably Ed Schroder? Many others but it's so long ago...yet I can't leave it alone in times of ML, nice to combine hobbies like chess, programming and ML. Is Bob Hyatt still active? And Bruce?

Hi Bas,

Still remember your first ever post on CCC (or maybe RGCC), claiming to have solved chess!

Still Here

Not Sure

I remember how lovely your code was, Mr. Hamstra.
On par with Fabien's.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Thanks for the nice compliment Dann, are you in machine learning too? I am doing JAVA now and can't imagine going back to C++, somehow I can get things quicker done in JAVA. Python is even shorter, but too slow. Man, the things you can do in a 50 line Python script totally amazes me, at times I am jealous ;-)

Hi Bart, that's good to know, that CSVN is still active, the site looked a bit, well, dead. I have very good memories on the NK tournaments in Leiden, though, and would love to compete again with my new JAVA engine that is still a bit rough around the edges. It does no NNUE thouh, lately. But speaking of CSVN, I remember guys bringing the fastest multicore towers back then, that were no match for my laptop. It would be great if there was an equal playing field: what about raspberry pi's only? That would be a tournament with a good fun factor!
