It's since Fritz 15 that they only change icons. :oops: Fritz 20 also gives only 2 months of Premium account so it doesn't worth to pay 69€ for an engine that is still 300 ELO weaker than Stockfish 17.1 and 200 ELO weaker than Obsidian and PlentyChess. The GUI is also full of new bugs (eg: preferences and even the windows sizes not saved) while they have never fixed the old ones (eg: engine games resuming after internet disconnection)
I'd expect Fritz 20 to come close to breaking into the top 12 engines (CCRL), so your statement seems to be a gross exaggeration.
Time will tell.

Definitely get the feeling they did no quality control on this release. Just shoved it out the door.
