Installing Stockfish in the Arena gui (not working)

Just a tip for those who struggle with it.
The Arena gui is pretty old but still good and Stockfish has got a new option:
option name NumaPolicy type string default auto

When you install a newer version of Stockfish, the config file ArenaENG.cfg will get an entry:
NumaPolicy=
in the section for the version of Stockfish you installed, like:
[Stockfish_250427]

If you try to start the engine in Arena it will not work because this option has the default value: auto
So just add auto to the option and it works:
NumaPolicy=auto

Only if you want to play with this setting, otherwise a normal installation is with "auto" by default. You really don't have to do anything.....



......and Arena 3.5.1 GUI is still the best (just my oppinion-I have Fritz 19 GUI-Shredder 13 and all the free GUIs.....maybe ChessGUI 0.245m of the much regretted Matthias Gemuh can be compared). Just my opinion. Of course many will focus on some relatively minor issues (as in any dispute). Perfection does not exist in this world. It is just a chimera for idealists.
