Tornado in the tournaments and rating lists

Post by Engin »

Dear computerchess friends,

its very pity for who is holding back or not testing and including Tornado 9 NNUE in there rating list, because i am used in the first released version a network taked from stockfish network, so i am now generating my own NNUE files and used it even in the WCCC, where no one complane against it.

if you want to use, please download again with new generated NNUE network file.

here: https://sites.google.com/view/tornadoch ... rbiyJNrswA

Ok, i am using from Daniel Shawul the probing code, but i do not more using the neural networks that from Stockfish generated ones, i generated now my own networks and hope that will be accept.

At the moment i am generating completely my own implement coded networks now that has nothing to do with Stockfish NNUE probing code. They are just not ready to use and it takes time, i am still working on that :-/

Also i did removed completly the NNUE probing code from the new version now :-)

why is that some can use NNUE how it want and for someones is forbidden to use it ?

Its up to you what do you believe or not, thx

The neural network architecture of the NNUE is the same as SF ones but i used different data so the weights are different too.
Its still very strong because the neural network seems learn very much and fixed some bugs that i did not know in my eval function :-)

There is a lot of differences between version 8 and 9, i expect its more then 300 elo around, for sure its more then 3000 elo now with the NNUE :-)

Second is you don't need the pawnhash tables or material hashes if you using NNUE, you can disable them or set it to only 1 MB or so.
