====================================================================================

Attention!: the champion on my PC (SpectralByLOBO) uses a special experience file (not very big, rather small, but very refined - it does not come with the engine archive and is not related to the authors). Also (extremely important): the engine settings ARE NOT the default ones! So don't express yourself a priori about the engine's capabilities. The results speak for themselves.

Halfway in my tournament:

Image

Image

+4 -1 =46

+21 Elo points in 51 games For SpectralByLOBO-bmi2 vs.Stockfish_23020319_x64_bmi2 (the latest SF)

+6 -0 =45

+42 Elo points in 51 games For SpectralByLOBO-bmi2 vs.ProteusSF-Piranha-15.1-bmi2 (seems to me just a SF 15.1 with .bin book direct access)

A sample from my tournament (at the 31st move SF indicates -0.17 :lol: ):

From this link:

https://www.sp-cc.de/files/8_plies_book.zip

This is a collection of books, not only the one you have requested. Once you unzip the file, open ArenaGUI folder and there is SuperGM_4mvs.abk opening book.

Regards from Spain.

-Ponder: off
-OS: Windows 10 Home.

The final result:

Alexandria-3.5-x86-64-bmi2
========================

Match conditions:

-TC=4'+2"
-Hash=256 MB
-GUI: Arena 3.5.1
-Book: SuperGM_4mvs.abk (8 plies book) for both engines
-1 thread-CPU=Intel i5-7400-3GHz (Kaby Lake)
-TBS: 6-men Syzygy bases (only for Smallbrain_7.0_x86-64-bmi2)
-NNs: defaults
-Ponder: off
-OS: Windows 10 Home.

The final result:

Image

Image

+5 -33 =62

-100 Elo points in 100 games

Smallbrain 7.0 x64 has 3449 Elo points (Stefan Pohl rating list).
Alexandria 3.1.0 x64 has 3289 Elo points (Stefan Pohl rating list)...... -160 Elo points face Smallbrain 7.0 in Stefan Pohl rating list
160-100 = +60 Elo points Alexandria 3.5.0 engine rating improvement over Alexandria 3.1.0 after my 100 games match against Smallbrain 7.0

Image

CEGT found a huge difference (+160 Elo points). It is true, more games and more opponents. However, the difference (+100 Elo points) face to my match seems a bit big to me.....Let's wait for Stefan Pohl's result....
