Re: Sargon 1978 UCI Available
Thanks, but SoftRam is nothing but a SCAM search it on youtube.com, I just found my old Novag Turquoise computer in one of my Moving boxes when I moved 18 year ago and decided to match it against sargon-engine Depth6 and I also set Novag to play at Depth6 here is the result of the first game. I forgot what the rating of my Novag Turquoise is, but they are both playing at the same depth anyway ?RubiChess wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:35 pmLOL. Our beloved chessqueen. That's what I wanted to express. Like it is scam to blame your registry or a fragmented disk for running the wrong version of Sargon and complaining about the repetition bug still not fixed.Chessqueen wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 4:11 pmThanks, but SoftRam is nothing but a SCAM search it on youtube.comRubiChess wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:35 pmLOL. Re: Sargon 1978 UCI Available
It could be that some old registry that I left was messing the newer version of sargon, but I was using the newer version since Bill posted it, that is why I posted that I got it from the link that he provided. Well I really do NOT know why it was acting like that; but now it is fixed and sargon on my computer is beating my old Novag Turquoise here is the 3rd game, the 2nd game was a draw with insufficient material to win with two Knights against Novag Turquoise, sargon wanted to play forever with its two knights but I stopped it knowing that it was a dead drawRubiChess wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 4:41 pmThat's what I wanted to express. What should 0+120 tc be? Why does ShallowBlue not appear with it's version number 2.0.0?Chessqueen wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 5:48 pm The new Challenge to sargon is shallowBlue rated 1711

The game looks completely invalid (or even doctored), 0+120 should be 0+120(s), but that timecontrol is permanently abused in favour
of Sargon, at one point Sargon already has used more than three times the time of ShallowBlue and should have lost on time since long.
Also ShallowBlue according to this pgn suddenly uses 593! seconds for 18...Kh5??
On my slow old machine ShallowBlue is already at depth 8 at 36 seconds and never considers Kh5?, but only Kf7...
Whites move 16 has nothing attached - no time - no eval and I severly doubt Sargon does know the principle of an 'easy' move too.
I guess you won't understand the extracted stats with total time, but others will.

removed crappy full pv arena stuff - added clean pgn below
...
16. e4 Kg6 {(Kf7-g6 Ra1-b1 b6-b5 Qc3-b3 c7-c6 d5xc6 Qd8-b6+ Rf1-f2) +0.75/7 123}
18. Qd3 {(Qc3-d3 Kg6-f7 Qd3xd4 h7-h5 a2-a4 h5-h4 Rf1-e1) +0.14/7 80} Kh5? {(Kg6-h5 Qd3xd4

...
I guess you won't understand the extracted stats with total time, but others will.Code: Select all

Sargon when you assigned it to reach depth 7 use more time than what Arena indicate I noticed that it does NOT stop exactly at the time indicated sargon wil continue to calculat until it reached Depth7 while other programs stop at the time indicated by Arena.
