As I marked my CPUs clock = 8x4000 MHz.
Without overclocking Ryzen 7 1800x max single core frequency is about 4200 MHz. This is 5 % higher only. Your CPU is overclocked to 3200 MHz, as you stated, this is only 20 % smaller then mine is. What do you hope from it? An eight cores Ryzen well suited for multiprocessor tasks and not for a single processor task.
If you want higher nps you should use an overclocked CPU with 5000 MHz clock frequency.

As for testing using Maverick and Stockfish engines, it will have to wait till Saturday night. I will certainly do it and post the results.
@ Kai Laskos.... sorry, but directly pitting the i7 5960X against my Ryzen 1800X is not practically possible, as each System is in a different physical location !
( Due to certain private family reasons, I'm forced to maintain two Households).
@ Robert Szabo, the difference was because Beram Mourik was running his Fritz Benchmark on a Ryzen 1700X (I think).
In any case, he was probably running at Stock, with no overclock, hence the marked difference.
My 1800X practically begs to be overclocked and and it was quite easy to overclock it.

could you please post some KNs for say latest stockfish using 1 and 8 threads?
Also could you please try crafty 25.2 using 1 and 8 threads and post the KNs?
Sorry for bugging you with these requests but I'm really curious about these two engines (specially crafty since the latest version is supposed to have very good scaling with core increase).
Another question, suppose I buy 32 GB RAM 2x16GB DIMMS with the intent of adding in the future another 32Gb to get 64GB. If I buy exactly the same kits the second time should I be free of memory issues right?
Being a very new platform I'm full of doubts.

To answer your second question, if your second RAM Kit is EXACTLY the same as the first one, you shouldn't face any problems.
On the other hand, I don't see any point in having 64 GB RAM. My Intel System has 64 GB RAM, but after seeing Ryzen at work with 32 GB RAM, I don't think 64 GB RAM gives any significant advantage.
Going from 16 GB to 32 GB, yes, there is a noticeable difference in responsiveness of the System, but from 32 GB to 64 GB, the difference is negligible, if any.
Also, at least in the Ryzen System, the more RAM you add, the more difficult it becomes to overclock your RAM or even to just run the RAM at Rated speeds..... this may change with more BIOS updates to AM4 Motherboards.
In fact, most of the Ryzen Owners in overclock.net were using just 16 GB RAM, so that they could run with rated speeds more easily.
But for me, personally, just 16 GB RAM was a big NO NO.
So, at present, I'm happy to run my RAM at just 2400 speeds.
When the BIOS of these Motherboards mature, I MAY upgrade to RAM rated at 3000 or more..
But right now, I'm quite pleased with my Ryzen System's performance and I really don't see the need to fiddle about.

Already using Corsair H100i v2 for my Intel System.
Read good Reviews regarding the Austrian-made Noctua Cooler, so I thought I'd take a chance.
Seems to be working fine....temperatures don't go over 50°C even when running all Cores at full blast !
So, for me, that Cooler is very BEAUTIFUL !

I read that AMD's SMT is far better than Intel's hyperthreading, so you should leave it on and use up to 16 threads. But best for you to do some research to confirm that.

Leave HT ON to use Ryzen 7 at full. Its speed-up is higher than with Intel (from what I have seen on the net).
