I've released a new version of Mediocre, first one in two years.
Mediocre is now UCI only (I removed the semi-working xboard support).
Main changes include finally having ponder implemented and I looked over the search, finding quite a few bugs and weird behaviour.
This version should be significantly stronger than the previous version.

Re: Mediocre v0.4 released
I managed to forget to update the internal version number. So it'll still say 0.34 instead of 0.4.
Switched the download file, so if you're annoyed with that just download again.

Ah yes, the old file would say v1.0, was my development version, but decided to go to 0.4 instead.SzG wrote:Mine now says it is v1.0...Zlaire wrote:I managed to forget to update the internal version number. So it'll still say 0.34 instead of 0.4.

EDIT: OK now, but you must have changed other things too as the file size increased considerably.
Did the size increase? Strange. Well I'm doing some manual cleaning when creating the file, might've missed something, won't make make a difference though.

Thanks! You once had one of the most attractive chess programming blogs.
Are you still maintain it?

Re: Mediocre v0.4 released
Use Mediocre.bat. When adding an engine in Arena it defaults to looking for .exe files, but you can change that to .bat instead.Amstaff wrote:Hello, which file to I run as the .exe file when using Arena?
