This is the first time that I personally operated RomiChess for an online tournament! Anyway, this time Romi had no book, however, learning was on and had an effect during the tournament. Before the next event and every event thereafter I will play 1,000 games or more against other engines and their books. This will be a good experiment to see how effective Romi's learning can be. Just for fun!
If you are on a sidewalk and the covid goes beep beep
Just step aside or you might have a bit of heat
Covid covid runs through the town all day
Can the people ever change their ways
Sherwin the covid's after you
Sherwin if it catches you you're through
I am leaving RomiChess online here 24/7 (if that is okay) if anyone would like to help with Romi's learning they can make a challenge. Also Ray Banks has some engines logged in and we both would like more people to participate!

The server has a time-out period of 10 hours (idle time).
You can use the WinBoard -keepAlive option to thwart that. (e.g. -keepAlive 60 would send a date command every 60 min, which would be enough to keep you logged on forever). Of course you might still be logged out due to a disconnection; occasionally my router crashes, and needs to be reset; I am not sure how that affects people logged on to the ICS.
