Totally off subject Dr. D but I am messing around with your Zappa settings. All I have added was just raising Zappa's contempt from 0 to 5. Re: Who are the true heroes?
Thanks Tom but as my friend Majd stated,Zappa shows it's real muscles when using more cores at long time controls and that's why CEGT didn't get any improvement with my settings over the default ones as they tested with 1CPU....that won't make the trick unfortunately....tomgdrums wrote:Totally off subject Dr. D but I am messing around with your Zappa settings. Re: Who are the true heroes?
Arena is good for many things. The only place for me where it lacks, is the book implementation. I have developed several books for it and it is a pain. That said, tournaments, test suites, analyzing...it is the best. Do you know that you can't play more than 255 rounds in Fritz GUI? This is a problem if you have 250 positions and you need to do reverse colors 500 matches.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:No other software comes near Arena GUI in terms of eng-eng matches but that's all it can realy offer unfortunately....It's understandable as it's a one man project....tomgdrums wrote:I found Arena difficult to work with for analyzing games but I think it is mostly meant for Engine Matches and Tournaments. Great films.
I've got to see that one sooner.
