There seems to have been improvement. I ran the same test on a stronger hardware and .085g3 score 683 and 684.swami wrote:Robbolito 0.09

I think you'd get better scores, perhaps beyond 705 if you ran the test with your hardware, would like to see it though!kingliveson wrote:There seems to have been improvement. I ran the same test on a stronger hardware and .085g3 score 683 and 684.

What other Robbolito versions out there are best? e4, g3, d2 or...? I'd like to test atleast 3 or 4 other Robbolito for comparison purposes.

Huh?
It is not Rybka, but it's Rybka?
Your argumentation is getting more and more cloudly...

VR lied?
It is Rybka 4? But VR said he didn't work much on Rybka. Why it is so different then? And stronger? And not similar?
Or he just don't know his own code?
Your only argument that Robbo is a Rybka clone is: "The trusted Mr. Rajlich said it". Now you don't trust him yourself?

Graham, you are part of the doting army...
New Zealand is such a nice country. Maybe you should better get some fresh air, go hiking or whatever. Just don't spend your whole time in front of your computer. Seriously.
Cheers,

It is statistically not enough. Look at the statistically deviation that, for example, elostat shows.ernest wrote:and 100 games where 1.6s is 8 points (or 61 Elo) worse than 1.6 are enough, statistically, to show that 1.6s is not better than 1.6

There is somebody in this forum who could probably shed further light on what actually happened, but I doubt that he'll ever do so.Alexander Schmidt wrote:Graham Banks wrote:It's not the Rybka that we all know, but it is Rybka.

I'd be very surprised if the truth ever came out unfortunately, so people will just continue believing what they want to believe.
The real giveaway that something untoward happened and is going on is the fact that the so-called "author" of the Ippo/Robbo code is anonymous. I doubt that will change either. A real hit and run job.
There are several reasons as to why somebody would want to sting Vas in such a manner, some mentioned in this forum. The real truth could be even more surprising.
All very mysterious, Alexander. Talk to some of your well trusted friends who might be in the know.

The fact that of the well known computer chess forums, only two that I'm aware of allow free and open posts about these engines (this one plus the hackers/crackers/cloners one - while it's still there), should be another clue that something is not right.
The fact that none of the testing groups will bother with them is another.
Cheers,
Graham.

It must be in settings I think, not sure if one can change.

1.Yes-it's an extraterrestrial version of Rybka 5 !Graham Banks wrote:

You've either been sucked in or you're part of the "rotten army".
I hope it's not the latter.
And by the way, what authors? Who are "they"?
Cheers,
Graham.

2.The authors are anonimous otherwise they will be beheaded in a central plaza somewhere near Australia island - being anti commercial aliens !

3.Graham Banks & co try to save the commercial computer chess ! Money from chess ! This is the real problem !

"They " are anti they !

Ruxy, did you really expect that after you came into capitalism, crime would be the only way of making money? I agree that life in jail here is still better than life in poverty...Sylwy wrote: 2.The authors are anonimous otherwise they will be beheaded in a central plaza somewhere near Australia island - being anti commercial aliens !
